To the employees at Superior Solar:

When I got my pool installed in 1990, I got estimates from 3 different solar companies. 
Your company was the highest estimate.

When your salesman came to discuss the estimate with me, he explained all the features and benefits of the product and your company. He sold me on the system. One of the benefits he sold me on was your warranty of 10 years on parts and labor. For the full 10 years your company stood by the warranty and fixed my system on quite a few occasions.

The service department has always been dependable and done the job right the first time.

Now that my warranty is up, I had a problem with the system and your service department came out yesterday and fixed it. Even though my experience with your company has been great, I was expecting the worst yesterday. I left a not for your technician to check out the whole system and fix anything that was not working properly. He did just that and left me a bill of which I am enclosing a check with this letter.

Your company has exceeded my expectations for 12 years and I would like each and every employee you have to know how proud they should be to be on the team of professionals at Superior Solar Systems, Inc. Being a sales manager myself of a top fortune 500 company, this is what we strive for each and every day .

Over the last 12 years I have recommended 5 of my friends to your company, and they have had the same experience with your products and service.

Dear David,

            I would like to thank you for your promptness in helping us schedule our solar installation with Superior Solar. We are happy to be on our 3^rd purchase with your company.  This time we wanted it installed immediately, before we were even living in our home. We wouldn’t even think about having a pool without the Heliocol system. After our first purchase about 7 years ago, we wanted to make sure we could enjoy our pool from the first day we lived in our home.

            What a lot of people do not consider when they purchase a pool is the amount of time throughout the year they could enjoy their pool, if they had a solar system. We have used our pool even in the middle of December. Purchasing a pool is a big investment, but how much more does it really cost us if we could only look at our pool, because the temperature is not to our liking. We have found that we can use our pool twice as much throughout the year since we have had solar installed. I prefer the temperature to be about 84 to 86 degrees.

            We have many friends who own pools, and we have found we are able to swim much earlier in the year, while they are usually far into May or June until they are able to swim. My husband and I have been in Real Estate for 12 years, and the way we look at our system is very simple. Owning a pool without solar is like owning a big beautiful home without having any furniture in it. It may look nice from the outside, but you can’t fully enjoy it because it is incomplete.

Once the initial cost of solar is paid for, heating your pool is free. We should all be more energy conscious, with electrical costs constantly on the rise!

Dear David,

I wanted to write and say how excited and pleased we are with out new solar heating package! My wife and I have done lots of research into the best way to heat our new pool, and your visit showed us you’re Heliocol system was the way to go. Here’s how your system affected our pool:

Day 1:  A.M.  Pool temp 76.  New panels installed and system turned on at 2:30pm, pool rose to 80 by 5pm!

Day 2:  A.M.  Pool temp 79. First full day of use, pool up to 85 by 7pm!   Very swimmable!

Day 3:  A.M.  Pool temp 84. 2^nd full day, pool 88 by 2pm!  Switched valves to heat hot tub, and watched it warm over 100 degrees in about an hour.  Huge savings not having to use our propane heater.

Day 4:  Hosted pool party, pool at 87 (could have been warmer, but 87 feels perfect), warmed hot tub to between 100-104 degrees in less than an hour and enjoyed all day!

Bottom line, this thing works great, and best of all NO EXTRA ELECTRIC BILL FROM POOL HEAT PUMP! Even though we have good sun exposure to our pool, the screen takes away 30% of the suns rays and makes it very difficult to get the pool to comfortable swimming temperature unless we’re in the middle of summer. Here it is the first week of May and we’re really having a great time. I’m anxiously awaiting this fall (maybe winter too!) to see how warm I can keep the pool. I’m sure we’ll be swimming late into the fall, and with the solars help, we’ll save bundles on using our propane heater in the winter.

Thanks again David, this is the best $$ I ever spent on our pool. And we like the automatic solar thermostat, just set it and forget it!

Dear Superior,

            I wished to write a note thanking everyone for a fantastic job. I choose to install solar heating for our pool to heat it in the fall and winter. Thinking I was happy with the pool at 86’, I have to say 90’ is wonderful. The pool cools to 88’ in the morning for my husband to swim his laps and rises to 90’ during the day and evening. It’s just wonderful!

            I want to thank Jay, Kozart and Ron for doing a great job installing my system. They were courteous and very humorous. Great job guys! And a special thanks to David Spanier for holding my hand through out the process, he explained everything very thoroughly. Thanks again to everyone. Dear David:

It has been nine months since your company installed my solar heating system. It was truly a pleasure to work such professional like yourself after a stressful pool building experience. The solar system has heated my pool very consistently, I was swimming as early as February and the system was installed the week of Christmas 2002.

David. You know I asked many questions and was nervous about the “real” results solar would produce. Even though the initial cost was more than electric heat pumps or gas heaters, the investment was well worth the small additional cost. In fact, it is nice not having to worry about an increased electric bill or propane service for a gas heater.

You have also proven to me that Heliocol is the best in the business. I did extensive research on them as well. I was very impressed about Heliocol winning the bid to heat the Aquatic Center at Georgia Tech, just in time for the 1996 summer Olympics. I am very happy that I decided to do business with Superior Solar. Great products, clean and fast installation combined with outstanding customer service made my experience the best!

Re:  Solar Installation

Dear David:

            As a construction trial attorney I routinely hear the nightmares associated with hiring contractors. Therefore, it came as a nice surprise when not only was the work properly completed by Superior Solar, it was completed when promised. Having Superior Solar install the solar collectors for my family’s new pool was the easiest part of the pool construction at my home. Just as important, the employees who installed the solar collectors at my house were very professional and polite.

            My neighbors had a pool constructed at the same time as mine and both were completed in February, 2003. Because my neighbors decided not to initially include solar for their pool, they spent the first couple moths swimming in my pool rather than their own (our pool was in the mid to high-80’s when their pool still hovered in the mid-70’s). My pool is constantly 7-9 degrees warmer than my neighbors’ pool and they recently told me they now intend to go to Superior Solar to have solar installed. The solar heat is great because we have been able to comfortably enjoy the pool for several more months than we would have without the solar collectors. In fact, I recently had to turn the system down several degrees because the panels could have easily made my entire pool hot enough to be a hot tub!

            Last, I have now started looking at solar collectors installed on other homes by companies different than Superior Solar. It is amazing the difference in the care the Superior Solar takes in aesthetically placing the piping and collectors compared with other solar companies. In my mind, it is this attention to detail that sets Superior solar apart from the other solar companies.
